I know this has happened to you before because it's happened to me, too. You go to print something from the web and end up with unwanted images, extra pages and next thing you know, a "replace ink cartridge" message pops up on your printer.
Not only is it annoying, but ink and paper costs can add up fast. If only there was a better way.
It turns out there is.
CleanPrint automatically reformats whatever you want to print from a website. Navigation bars and ads are automatically removed, while the text and images you want are tweaked so you can read them easily.
Bonus: Did you know my website does this for you already? For any article, click the View All button and then print - or just print if it's only one page. You'll get a clean copy of the story - no ads or extras.
Not happy with the automatic results? CleanPrint lets you choose what items you want when printing. For example, you can save on ink and paper easily by deleting secondary images, changing font sizes and turning text into gray instead of 100 percent black.
CleanPrint works with the Google Chrome browser as an extension. Note: CleanPrint works best with an updated browser.

To get the CleanPrint bookmarklet for your browser, navigate to the CleanPrint home page. Scroll down until you see a blue button on the right side.
Once the program has been installed, you will see a leaf icon in your browser apps section. This is the CleanPrint bookmarklet.
Now, whenever you need to print something in an ink-and-paper-friendly way, click on the CleanPrint bookmarklet and follow the printing steps.
